April 3rd, 2012 "Rare is this love, keep it covered I need you to run to me, run to me, lover Run until you feel your lungs bleeding" I could feel my toes digging into the sand with each stride. My legs screamed for me to stop, but I knew I would never stop till I was far away. I ran not looking back. I knew what I would see. The old red shack my parents bought 25 years ago, with dreams of rebuilding, falling apart at the seams. The old keg my mother bought the day my father left her. Rusted and charred from my mother burning it. The blue truck my father bought my mother on their 5th anniversary. Sitting there waiting for someone to drive it. I looked at the trail of clothing that fell out of my small suitcase. I didn't even close it fully. I followed the trail with my eyes till I saw her. My mother sitting at the end, slouched and staring right into me. Looking at me like she never has. Even from that far i could see the sadness and anger swirling around in her eyes. I can see the tear streaks down her face. The regret in her voice when she yelled " Lizzie please don't leave me like he did, you are all I have left". I sat in the sand and stared at her. I could feel my heart crying for my mother. But I knew she would never change. Be the woman I once knew. I knew that I couldn't stay there. At least not for now. So I stood up and ran. Ran down the coast. Ran away from my hell.

"What do you think it feels like to die, Clay?" I whispered. "Don't you dare, Juliette," he said, grabbing my arms. "Don't you dare think like that. Ever." I didn't say anything. "Why won't you tell anyone? Why won't you tell anyone, we can help you, why don't you understand that?" Silence. "You think no one cares, Juliette," Clay whispered. "But you forget that I'm here. I'm here for you." I kept my eyes down. "Juliette," Clay took my hands and scooted in front of me, bending down to try and catch my eyes. "I'm here. And I'm never, ever gonna leave you. We were supposed to meet at some point. And we were never made to separate. Where's that pretty smile? Where's that gorgeous, raspy voice?" he asked. "Huh?" I slowly looked at him. "My favorite eyes," he said. "Just stop." I whispered, sniffling. "Please." "No," He held my face and brought me to him. "I love you. And I'm never gonna stop." ****** Juliette Harris was depressed. She had been for a long time, but no one ever knew. Her parents died when she was younger, her grandmother who was her favorite person of all after her parents' death died, and her foster mother and foster brother hated her. She has many friends and tries to put on a happy face, but inside she was gone. Her happiness was gone. Until someone new came along.
