Brooklyn Summers is like any other teen who breathes music... or so she thought. One night she finds out that everything in her life is a huge lie, that her father is actually not her real father. No, her father of blood is a retired rock star, Jamie Maze, from one of the bands she listens to, Melodies of Midnight. It took her dad fifteen years to come back to her, and he convinces her parents that she needs to spend two months of her summer with him at an apartment that he is keeping his rock-star identity undercover in.
Brooklyn hates Jamie for leaving her in the first place, and for ruining her summer. But as she spends more time with him she realizes that they are more alike than she expected. And the next two months in this new town might not be so bad now that she knows Adam, her cute neighbor. And she suddenly finds herself being dragged into a... band?

"Mom and dad has always like you better." I yelled. "Please calm down Adam." said Matt. "Now you'll take my children away from me." I replied coldly. *** Adam lives in a run down house with his teenage kids. They barely have anything to eat for the day. He's dating guys who just use him. He's drinking and doing drugs. He can barley take care of his children. He breaks down when they're taken away from him to live with his rich brother. Adam promise to be a better father to them. But nothing helps. Adam has always been jealous of his older brother. Matt always got all the attention while Adam stood the shadow. He starts working as a stripper to afford food and clothes, but he hates what he does. All he wants is to get his children back. But he knows they're better off with their uncle.
