This is a family history of my husband's maternal family. This family history line begins in South Africa with the first Europeans to settle in the Cape in 1652 and although no one famous, the family is deeply entwined with the history of South Africa. The first white settlers in South Africa become what is known as Boers. This is Part One of this book. The other line are descendants from the 1820 British Settlers. This is Part Two of this book. The Boers and the British are the two main white groups in South Africa. Writing this family history lays out the history of South Africa.
