I sit in the corner of my cell, shivering. I was recently moved to the basement of the P.O.W camp for complete isolation to see if they could brake me. I won't brake. I pull my knees to my chest and lean my forehead on my knees. My long brown hair, now oily and tangled, falls around my face. My clothes, rudused to rags, covered in dirt and blood stains. I lift my head a little and my brown, dull, eyes look at the door toy cell. Every night I hoped someone would walk through that door and take me away, so I could try to forget about all the things that happened here, but I could never truly forget. But that was a long time ago. I've given up on getting out of here. I hear footsteps outside the door and I whimper a little. I put my head down and hide face. The door opens and a man looks at me. I could feel his glare as he looks at me and I started to shake with fear."damn mutt bitch. I wish you would all die!" He says and spits at me. He walks out and slams the door, walking away.

My eyes narrow. "What do you want? If it's just to annoy me, I'd much rather go back to sleep." "Ah, ah, pet," he says. My breath hitches at the name. Pet. What happened to my actual name? He's the nice one. Playful grins matched with a wink here and there but that smile is absent as he moves his forefinger back and forth in a chastising manner. "You were given three days to settle in. Your bratty behavior will no longer be tolerated." I can't help how my hands travel back to the safety of my shirt. He snaps his fingers and points to the floor beside their feet. "Kneel." * I hated the new world. Years ago, vampires left the shadows to devour what little light humans had left to offer. They didn't want peace-they wanted power. When I was sixteen, the government and leaders of the old world were overthrown to make way for the new. My family, my future, my freedom...gone. I hated vampires. Until them. *** Please read the first part of this story titled 'Before You Read' to get a better idea of what this book entails. This is not a book suitable for everyone.
