Maria Suzune definitely does not have a normal life. Her mom is in the hospital with cancer and her father is gambling for money to pay for medications. When both her parents die, Maria goes to live with her brother, Akito, who made it on his own to save money for food for the others in the family. Three months after the death of her parents, she still has nightmares that may eventually decide her fate. Entered in "The Game of Dreams", she is now forced to kill or be killed for the grand prize of a new world. Maria is eager to be in it but doesn't realize how many people she has known and loved will be in the tournament as well. Slowly her sanity dies now realizing that she knew very little about her birth, her family, and life itself.
