All Belly's life she has been told she was nothing special, that she wasn't important. Her mother had died when she was a child and her father isn't sober half the time. The kids at school exclude her and she is constantly made fun of. Now as if her life wast bad enough, Isabelle Russo has just been placed in a foster home because of her abusive and alcoholic father. With no other relatives to take care of Isabelle, she must now live with the the Shears family, her being one of 10 teenagers living there. Getting settled isn't always easy, but nothing was ever easy for Belly before. This might be the chance she needs to find out if she really is something special.

Echo Frost moves to a new town in California with her "seemingly" perfect family. On the outside, they appear well rounded and put together, but behind closed walls...let's just say a lot goes on after dark. For one, her mother is a sloppy drunk, unable to resist the temptation of flushing out the past, leaving Echo to single handedly parent her little brother. When she starts at her new school, bad luck seems to follow her everywhere as she has a run in with the school's most sought after bad boy. TRIGGER WARNINGS: (note these are just general, there will not be warnings within chapters when it's about to happen) *physical and mental abuse* *alcoholism* *self-hate/blame* *toxic masculinity*
