I wrote these vignettes in a bereavement group. Twenty-two years after losing my only brother the pain was alive as the first day. I was lucky to find a group where members were expected to share their experiences and then write a piece. The process also helped me get in contact with my family and talk about the experience. Something that before was taboo. I dedicate this book to my brother and all those who stayed behind to survive the loss.
