Magic has returned to the world in a great burst.  When it left in the dark ages people were lost and devastated with out magic.  Now in 2015 magic has returned but sadly the government is not to happy about it.  Magic cannot be practiced without a license and even then you may only use it for a helpful beneficial need such as being a priest or doctor or teacher.  So if someone is found not following the rules set upon by the government then a Paladin Squad will hunt them down.  A Paladin in the dark ages was a person that used his magical teaching to drain the magic from other magic users in order to keep them in line and have an effective way to combat other magic users.  A Paladin today uses the same techniques but with a few other technological advancements.
