Thomas Rogers arrives at the White estate to meet his future bride, Mae. The Whites are a well-known, supposedly wealthy family. Thomas' father is also well-known, supposedly wealthy. What Thomas does not know is that the Whites are bankrupt, and they plan on marrying their daughter off so that they can regain financial power.

Thomas meets Ariana White, the hidden sister of the family. As Thomas and Ariana embark a relationship that will only cause trouble, both families intervene for their own sakes.

Based in the early 1900s, this story captures how people [that were mentally unfit] were treated during those years. Alongside the unfair assumptions of mentally unfit minds, corruption and wealth play main factors in the plot.

She swallowed to calm down her nerves and confidently looked at him, immediately catching his eyes, and she didn't look away this time. Christopher was a bit surprised by her action as she matched his stare. It seemed like she was challenging him to look away first. His lips curled up in a smirk, and she smiled at him, but neither of them looked away from each other. Christopher was impressed by her boldness, and Vienna was simply mesmerised by him. * * * * In the midst of preparations for his royal wedding, King Christopher's life is turned upside down by the unexpected arrival of Vienna, the youngest daughter of his father's dear friend.
