Katherine Dupree, a newly high school graduate, doesn't know what awaits her. High school is over and she doesn't have any idea what to do with her life after losing her best friend, Dimitri Heimlich, in a car accident. While most are moving on with their lives and preparing for college, she is stuck in the middle of the road, wondering which path to take. Going through grief and missing her best friend, she regrets that she didn't have the chance to confess to him her true feelings. Being best friends since they were seven, all they ever dreamed of was to see the world together. However, the unfortunate fate of Dimitri had stolen that dream away. On Katherine's 18th birthday, her father arranged a Europe tour for her as a birthday and graduation gift in which Katherine gets to travel. On one of her trips, she will meet Charlie Reagan, her co-writer in the publication and former classmate in high school. As they bonded together and started developing feelings for each other, Katherine is left confused with her own feelings and constantly denies it. Along her journey, she will get to meet more people who will make her understand what she truly feels. What awaits Katherine on her journey across the countries? Will she find herself again? Can she finally choose a path to take? Will she find a "Dimitri" again in her life? Is she ready to open the door for love?
