When Sasuke is saved from Orochimaru and brought back to the Leaf Village by Squad Seven, Lady Tsunade appoints him to being a Leaf Village genin as well as a member of Squad Seven, his former team. He meets Sai, a member of Squad Seven who took over when Sasuke want around and goes on missions with the fixed team. From creepy missions to sand castle contests and scavenger hunts, the four and Kakashi make quite a team. But this is only the beginning of a fixed squad.

SPOILER IF YOU DIDNT WATCH NARUTO (OKAY IF YOU DIDNT COMPLETE NARUTO or NARUTO SHIPPUDEN) : In this story, all character deaths in Shippuden did not happen. Also, the story is changed around a bit so that Sasuke doesn't turn evil in the end, so not everything corresponds to the anime/manga. This story otherwise should be spoiler free.

We (Waterfire and Earlcielphantomhive1) ship Sasuke x Naruto, but this story isn't based on it. There are moments though, but nothing overboard.
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO NARUTO'S FATHER IS, THEN THERE MAY BE A SPOILER. It is pretty obvious, but we get it if you don't want spoilers.

(A Naruto-themed fanfic- Book 1 in its series) Just recently promoted to Jonin Status as a medical shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village, Katsu Inazuna is assigned to Squad Seven. Sakura Haruno, the squad's original ninja medic has departed the village for several years in order to receive training in the Hidden Sand Village. Katsu, Sakura's replacement, has a lot to learn about being a successful Jonin. But can she handle her first mission as one? It becomes more than an ordinary mission when Katsu comes across three young children, each of them with distinct, striking features. Each of them claim to be either the children or siblings of original Naruto villains. Can Katsu and Kakashi train them to become ninjas who instead fight for the good of what's in their hearts? Sasuke Uchiha, an ex-member of Squad Seven and also Katsu's ex-boyfriend, is growing stronger under Orochimaru's teaching. Will Katsu, Kakashi, and Naruto be able to succeed in capturing him and returning him to the Leaf Village after years of being gone? Or will the mission result differently? Will seeing Sasuke again cause Katsu's old, buried feelings for him to rise to the surface? Or will she finally blossom into someone bigger than herself with feelings for someone else? Is it possible that Katsu's secret dream of becoming the next Hokage could ever turn into a reality? "You know, the thing about failure is that it only makes me want to try harder." . . Minato and Kushina survived the Kyuubi attack, the Uchiha Massacre never happened, Orochimaru never became a missing nin. What could go wrong? A lot of things actually, Uzumaki-Namikaze Naruto is shunned by the village, his father ignores him, and his mother disappeared. Sasuke was always a failure to his clan, nothing he did would ever be good enough for them. Kakashi was endlessly reminded that he would never be as great as the White Fang was. And Sakura was abandoned by her parents, who left her in Konoha while they do god-knows-what. Nobody expected them to amount to anything, but that only gave them the incentive to prove everyone wrong. This is the story of Team 7, the team of failures and rejects with a dream to make it to the top. . . . HIGHEST RANK: #338 in Fanfiction (10/28/17), #3 in Naruto (8/11/18) Sequel: Ascending (be sure to check it out after!!) Romance isn't the main genre but the pairings will be SasuNaru and GaaSaku. If you don't like yaoi then don't read, simple. -Warning: Swearing and Amateur Writing. **HIGHEST RANKING: #2 IN SASUKEXSAKURA** this is loosely based off of a fanfic I read that I loved the idea of but I wanted to expand on, credits to @firooz. ◦•●◉✿◉●•◦ Sasuke Uchiha was gone. Naruto Uzumaki was gone. Sakura Haruno was alone, and Konahagure would never be the same. Tsunade was working nonstop as Hokage, and Kakashi was being sent out on one dangerous mission after another. Sakura was kept busy at the hospital, being the best medic- save her mentor and current Hokage- in the village. But at night, the loneliness crept in, and Sakura fell asleep staring at her team picture every night. One day, however, Orochimaru appears in the village for a strange request: he needs a medic. A good one. In fact, he needs the best one. He needs Sakura. Reluctantly, a deal is formed with Orochimaru's former teammate, Tsunade, to take Sakura Haruno away to his lair to help him heal his arms for the span of one year in exchange for a guarantee of her safety and the promise to help rid Konoha of the Akatsuki. Sakura readily agrees- if it means protecting her friend and her home, she would do anything. But when she comes face to face with her old teammate, who she never really stopped loving despite her efforts and denial, Sakura realizes that maybe home isn't a place, but whoever makes you feel loved most. *MULTIPLE POV* *TAKES PLACE IN THE BLANK PERIOD RIGHT BEFORE SHIPPUDEN* *MATURE CONTENT* *I DO NOT OWN NARUTO, OR ANYTHING AFFILIATED WITH NARUTO. I ONLY OWN THE PLOT AND A FEW OC'S. *
The Way Through Stone Village (Naruto) by worldwalkerdj
109 parts Complete
Gaara's peace cohort, now known as Team Zoe, are making their way to Iwakagure, or Stone Village. After the success of their last Village visit, the team (composed now of the Sand Siblings, the DJs, Team 10, Team 7 including Sai, Hinata Hyuga, Tenten, the 4 hero students and Dabi, adding Hanabi Hyuga, and briefly, Rock Lee) is in a good mood, but, Stone Village throws them a lot of unexpected curve balls, and throws some other things at them also. While things heat up on the political front, the team's internal relationships continue to either fray, or deepen as they spend more time together. Sasuke is still there, but his war with himself gets only more and more intense as he continues to consider if his place is even with Team Zoe, or if he should strike out alone again. And how is his bond with Naruto and Sakura somehow changing somehow? Shine and Wally sprinkle all this with a healthy dose of profound teachings and funny anecdotes as they try to keep a group of 20 teenagers from tearing each other, and the shinobi villages, apart. Things have never been this bleak for Gaara's mission, will he end up having to go home in disgrace? Or will he find a way to persevere? [This story serves as a SOL style explanation for the events that happen between Naruto and Boruto, including the redemption arcs and relationship building. All ships are canon or unconfirmed off canon. The story follows the "Way Into Mist Village" and "New Way of Ninja" stories on my profile, and is before the "Way Above Cloud Village" one. All stories in the saga can be read separately, but will make more sense if you go in order. I like long plots and character arcs and slow burn ships, with a dash of comedy and irony, so if that's your flavor, give it a read:)-- Natasha Queen ]
