Hazel Breckenridge is just a witty high-school senior who enjoys friends and movies just like anyone else. But her illusion of immunity becomes her undoing when an accident drops her into a coma. When she wakes, she stands to see a small street sign that reads "Sinner's Lagoon," and discovers a small, terrarium-like world where beauty and joy are nearly limitless. Except, not quite.
In order to get home, Hazel will have to go deep. She'll have to reach parts of herself she didn't know existed. Only then will she be able to escape evil, but more importantly, the clutches of her own mind.
