It is the year 2025. Before a baby is born, it's mother and father are both tested on their ability to raise the baby from birth. If they fail, then the baby is taken from the womb and sent to Children's Market where they can be bought from better suited parents. Since the Children's Market receives more children than it can take, they kill off all kids when they reach the age of Sixteen. The whole process is similar to a dog pound; after a dog is rejected many times and not bought, it is put down. Fifteen year old Kourtney Bell has accepted her fate after not being bought for so long. In two weeks she is to be strapped to a chair and given an injection that will ultimately end her life, making her a Forgotten. Will someone purchase her before it's too late?
