*Based off the CW network's REIGN* Valoria Tudor, the beloved rightful heir to the English throne was lucky to even keep her surname when her father King Henry the 8th was assassinated in the successful coup formed by her illegitimate half-sister Elizabeth, the day Valoria was born. Elizabeth, fearing she would lose the barely earned favor of her new people was forced to let her half-sister live, but she didn't live a happy life. Valoria survived being proclaimed a bastard, being punished repetitively for the actions of her growing number of supporters, and was thrown in the Tower of London. Now Valoria is sent away to the French Court, in order to marry Prince Francis and fulfill the treaty with them. But if the French see it fit she's also there to die. Beware Elizabeth, for when the lion knows its own strength no man can control it.

Queen of Scotland Mary Stuart travels to France with four ladies-in-waiting to secure her politically strategic engagement to the king's son, Prince Francis. Mary and Francis share a mutual attraction, even though he has reservations about the wisdom of an alliance with Scotland. Complicating issues is Bash, Francis' illegitimate half-brother whom Mary finds herself drawn to in spite of herself. The French Court is also full of less romantic challenges for Mary, who finds her engagement -- and life -- threatened until she finds an ally in a mysterious shrouded guide. With all that she faces, Mary rallies, readying herself to rule and trying to find a balance between the demands of her country and those of her heart. -Source: CW
