September 7th, 2015, an unexpected power outage hit the world, leaving it dark, since then the power has been out. A new disease called the Dynea, has sprung, with no information or cure to this disease. This was 5 years ago. The united states now lives in 48 zones, zone 1 being the strongest and zone 48 being the weakest. I lived in 48, the most neglected and in poverty zone. One day, I was taken. Placed in an old arena dome, finding out later it was to be a testing zone for Dynea. Being poked and probed wasn't exactly on my to-do list but after a couple weeks, they tell me I could be the cure for Dynea, cure for mankind.

Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you."
