She was a mermaid, a child of the sea and a daughter of the moon. She wasn't supposed to love, she wasn't supposed to have a soul. One faithful day brought their worlds together and from then they were bound by fate. She saved him. Instead of taking his soul, she left hers. Knowing that their worlds could never come together she dismissed the notion of ever seeing him again. But, fate and an absent mind led her to venture out into an unknown and confusing place, the surface.
He was a business man's son. Overshadowed by his father's success and pushed to follow in his footsteps. But, a close encounter with death and a seemingly mysterious girl causes him to rethink his future, his life, and his heart. When he sees her again it is under different circumstances, but the air of mystery is still shrouding her like a mist. She at first is unable to speak, but able to sing in a shrill ethereal voice. He knows his world and hers are like heaven and earth, both so far apart. Her origins being unknown he assumes she is probably a foreigner of the lower class. He could never be with her the way he wants, for he is someone with riches, fame, and unfortunately duties. Who is this girl and can they be truly together?
As they keep up their blissful liaison, problems threaten both of their worlds.
She is the only daughter of Neptune destined to marry for an heir. But, with a nearby mer tribe threatening their existence as well as a deadly epidemic spreading throughout the sea, she has a lot to fix.
He is pressured into an engagement and a business internship.
Can they overcome the rules that both of their societies have placed on them?
Will they become the liaison that bridges their illicit worlds together?
