Cora Sage had just left home because there was nothing left for her there after she graduated high school. Her mother had just recently died from cancer resulting in her father becoming an abusive alcoholic who wouldn't pay for her college. She's left home with only a small amount of money to hold her off for a few days before she's broke.
Eli Dean also just graduated and is eager to leave his life he has had his whole childhood behind. He has never wanted a part in the criminal gang his dad was apart of to financially support them but the dangerous gang doesn't want to let Eli leave.
Now that they both are trying to move past their old lives it may just end up bringing them both together and leaving them in a threatening situation.
