Phoebe had never liked Ben and Ben had never like Phoebe. It may have been because they had never met or because they were from two completely different stars. When they first met it was because Phoebe was lost. She was lost and panicking. "I'm lost" she said "I need to find the west wing, locker 274" "no worries" Ben replied "I'll take you there." The second time they met was the day after that in science class. They sat at opposite ends of the classroom but worked together in experiments because Phoebe was the new lost girl and Ben was the helpful nice guy. In many aspects of themselves they were quite different. Ben was not your stereotypical jock being smart. Phoebe was neither; nor sporty nor smart. She was at her best average at school. The place didn't interest her. She was more interested in stars and space. Ben however loved school. People would say hi to him, say bye, he was known there. Another thing that interested him was new people. Phoebe interested him but only until someone else came.

Outcasts

Two girls. At school they're total opposites. The cheer captain and the loaner geek. But at home, life isn't all as it's seems. And one teacher, and their relentless assignments, bring them closer together. *** "You missed me?" I ask as if it's such a shock because to me it is. I'm a nobody. "Hm." She hums with a nod, "I didn't really know how to ask you if you wanted to hang out again, and well, thanks to my fucked up life, here we are, I found an excuse." "You do realise you can just ask me?" I'm a hypocrite, I couldn't do it either. "I know, but honestly, you kind of intimidate me and I just kinda thought maybe just a small part of you thought it was just about the projects."
