Sherlock Remembers

An AU in which Sherlock and John were friends as children, and continued to be as they grew. But at the age of 18, John leaves his best friend to go into the military. Years pass and both friends end up forgetting about each other. Sherlock assumes John is dead. John assumes Sherlock was just a faded memory.
