It all started with a dog named Fujiku, a neglected grave, and a shattered glass jar-three seemingly insignificant things that would change Ember's life forever. Enter Lantis Arcanghel: strikingly attractive, annoyingly persistent, and, above all, dead.

A self-proclaimed "phantom," Lantis refuses to be called a ghost. His grave lies beside Ember's parents, and for reasons she can't understand, he's chosen her to help fulfill his final wish: crossing the boundary between the living and the dead.

Ember isn't sure what's worse-being trapped in a house with a ghostly presence that refuses to leave, or Lantis' threat to haunt her life until she helps him move on.
