Alicia Chang is accepted to an elite university - which she anticipates as a ticket out of her small-town hell. She is so done with high school and with her over-controlling parents. Alicia, also a 'recovered' eating disorder patient, prides herself in her elaborate scheme to dive headfirst back into her illness. She can't wait to also ditch the constant surveillance of her eating habits by her family, and the never-ending doctor's appointments too, of course.
