Mature
Gerard Way is staying at his grandmother Elena's lake house for the summer before his first year at college. His younger brother Mikey is more concerned about having no wifi for three months than anything else really. The only thing to do is to stay inside the non-air conditioned house or go out on the lake and swim. Unfortunately for Gerard, he lacks the proper skill for swimming. But when a handsome stranger scares the living shit out of him and offers swimming lessons, Gerard's summer might turn from boring and depressing to something dangerous, exciting, and he may finally learn how to swim.

Gerard Way is the new guy in town, quiet, artistic, and carrying more baggage than he lets on. Frank Iero is the school's resident fuckboy-charming, reckless, and hiding behind a well-crafted façade. They aren't supposed to fit together, but somehow, they do. As their lives become entangled, Gerard starts to unravel the boy beneath Frank's mask, and Frank finds himself drawn to the raw, messy truth of Gerard's world. Love shouldn't feel like an addiction, like a vice tightening around their throats, like something that could destroy them both. But it does. And neither of them is willing to let go. Warnings: Smut, underage sex, self-harm, drug/alcohol abuse, family issues, homophobia, mental health struggles, eating disorders, suicide, SA
