The story of a girl who struggles with a constantly changing life. Her family always moving from town to town for her father's work weighs down on her. She develops and interest in urban legends and scary stories to help define herself. The real story begins when she finds out where her dad will be taking his next job. Revisiting the small town of Black Creek, the home town of her first love will soon prove much worse when she learns that there is more to the town's urban legend than she was led to believe.
