Victoriette Widziszewski is returning home to New York City from a weekend with her boyfriend in Savannah, Georgia. When she wakes the next morning, she notices an itchy wound on her neck which her beau assures her is just a bug bite. Three days later and she finds that the sunlight not only burns her eyes, but also quite literally her skin. Oh, and her boyfriend is missing. So, what's a single vampire who's new at the game to do?
