Mackenzie was just another teenager with crazy dreams, but once she reached her senior year of high school, everything changed. Her happiness turned into depression. Her used-to-be-bright dresses got exchanged for dark clothes and a black hoodie. She writes in her diary just like she did before, but now all of her entries are about her sadness and problems with bullying and cutting. Then one day, Cole, the captain of the football team, notices her and does the impossible of trying to get her back to normal. Being around him reminds her how to laugh, smile, and most importantly: love. But with just one argument between them, she changes back to her old self and makes her thoughts even worse than before.
