He worked in the diner next door. Although they rarely spoke, they would often steal glances at one another. She worked at a waitress, enjoying the energy during busy hours. Sometimes she would see him walk by the entrance with his apron hanging loosely on his waist, whistling and staring at the sky. Sometimes he would catch her with flour on her cheeks and nose.
