Have you ever experienced fighting with your trauma, but failed to win for a long period of time? Ari was just an ordinary employee who had an extreme fear of men due to what she had experienced when she was young. She underwent treatments and medications, but it didn't heal her trauma. She was about to have a vacation, but a group of hijackers took over the plane. The plane crashed, leading to the death of all the passengers including her. She was shocked when she woke up and realized that she was reborn in an unfamiliar world full of beastman. She became the daughter of the alpha of their tribe. She was loved by her father dearly though some of the tribesmen treated her like a freak because she looked different from the rest of them (male or female). Her appearance caused confusion regarding her gender, but she didn't care since she couldn't handle any physical contact with males. She continued living despite fearing the reason why she was brought to that world bearing her memories from her previous life. She lived a blissful life under the protection of his father, despite the spite of some of his people. She was doing well while trying to figure out a way to heal herself from the traumas she had from her previous life. However, fate flipped her life, causing her to be confused over her real identity. She suddenly needed to bear a responsibility beyond her capability just to save the people she loved. Will she accept the challenge and fight an immortal enemy despite fighting with herself? Or will she choose to leave behind the people who became a part of her new life and let them fall into the chaos that is about to fall upon them?Complete
The Curse of the Broken Shrinking God
How can the two opposing forces survive when they both want to be the dragon? How much will one have to shrink in size before the curse is finally broken? The Dark One is so happy to be rid of the darkness he had constantly battled for a timeless eternity. But he must face the consequence of his actions facing his darkness head on. In part one God the dragon is as big as the universe put together, but us he begins to separate himself, his imagas turn against him. Both HaShem and Samael feel it is their destiny to unite the dragon once more. This leads to a battle the result of which the children of God become more and more broken and scattered in their thought. Once they were planets now they are ants. How small will they have to go before the dragon is whole again and God is once more the seven headed dragon? Each book faces another price that is paid in yet another fall of his images in the curse of the broken shrinking God. Part II: HaShem enjoys the love of his Father and finds love for his sister. She is belittled by her other brother yet HaShem wants to defend her. He finds he is willing to give up everything to see others share in that same simple love. The gods have no pity for humans and their impermanence. Why would they care for lives measured in years, when time marches into millennia for them? The immortals stay in their city. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.Complete
