Each night I lay my head to rest
A tear slides down upon my chest
Silent cries concealed by night
Finally free from the day long fight
So many reasons to feel broken
So many truths left unspoken
Lost in a sea of nobody cares
Everyone talks, has something to bear
One day they'll decide to open their eyes
Too late to hear my moonlit cries
Day by day one less tear
One less need, one less fear
Closing heart drawing near
Safe inside my hollow chest
All this pain laid to rest.
