(Starts in the year 833)Living in the underground means that you are basically dirt to everyone else on the above ground. But what happens when 7 year old Rin runs into 17 year old Levi while trying to escape bad men, he chooses to take her in and take care of her. Last thing Levi and Rin expect is for them to form a bond and become inseparable.(year 840) That is until the day that Levi has no choice and is forced to join the survey corps leaving Rin and his past life behind. Rin holds onto the promise they made all those years ago, hoping that her Levi will come back to her. (Year 841. 1 year after Levi left) Though 4 years before the fall of Wall Maria Rin(now 15) decides to join the army in hopes to reunite herself with Levi when she makes her final decision to join the survey corps. But what she will soon find out that the old Levi that she used to know and love is gone, the new Levi is emotionless and harsh. Can Rin soften this captains heart, or will she just bring trouble.
