      His eyes followed the shadowy figure lurking in the darkness, its pale white eyes trained on the local hub's waitress making her way home. Her eyes kept glancing at him, worried he supposed. If only she knew the real darkness was standing behind her. 
       The creature's eyes glared at him and he just chuckled, amused. Its eyes widened, then narrowed finally understanding. It growls menacing, and reaches for the girl. Her mouth opens to scream when it grabs her arm, but not a sound escapes. He watches as the girl's soul begins to leave her body and finally decides to intervene. 
     In a blink of an eye, he is holding the creature by its shadowy neck. The gloves he is wearing are traced in iron, unwillingly trapping the shadow. Slowly torturing it, he tightens his hand around its neck, until finally an explosion of black powder lets into the air.
