That was what hazel first thought when she saw Noel back in sixth grade.

In sixth grade everything was simple for Hazel, until a strange boy moved into the Boulder's spare room.

The boy showed up on the first day of the new year with a letter . The letter was then passed to Ms.boulder and Mr.boulder and was read very throughfully until it was decided that the boy will stay.

Noel was gone three years later. What couldn't disappeared were Hazel's memories.

Both of them promised to never fall inlove.

They both had it wrong and were going to find out, that love isnt something you chose.

Hazel eyes, that was my favorite term of endearment he settled on for me. Reserved specifically for me, by him and presented to no other previously or from this day forward. Kind to every person he came into contact with. Treated me with respect, and while with me acted as though I was the only woman in existence. Gentle with the words he spoke, and attentive to the things I needed. Clear about the physical urges he craved, yet never pressed. Feeling uncomfortable in his presence never a concern. A calm demeanor and patience I was unfamiliar with. Proud to be there with me, showing me off. Displaying affection in the presence of others was never given a second thought. Shame when it came to anything regarding my body typically, but with him I felt safe. Eating, wearing a dress, genuinely laughingly came easy with him. Without fail fascinated by me and me alone. Questioning rather or not I was the one he wanted to be there with never crossed my mind. He saw me, really saw me. Fear of any competition ceased to exist. A beautiful woman could pass by and his eyes wouldn't budge. Physical attraction evident however the immediate connection between us was rare. Drawn to him from the beginning when I first laid eyes on him. A yellow flower more significant than he ever realized. 29 years old and he was the only man to bring me flowers. I will cherish every moment with him. Every word. Every smile. Every touch. Every tear. Every kiss. Every look. Every laugh. Every scent. Every breath.

The morning was filled with the usual chaos of a busy household, with Jess rushing to pack and making sure everything was ready for the trip. Nathan, already packed and waiting patiently, had a relaxed attitude, dressed in a hoodie and jeans with his long black hair slicked back and a faint goatee, which earned him a critical look from his mom, Jess, who didn't like his style. As they loaded the car, Mark double-checked everything, while Jess made sure nothing was forgotten. During the car ride their car broke down in the forest, Nathan wandered off and discovered a hidden village. The villagers initially appeared hostile but eventually spared his parents. Life in the village felt foreign, and he struggled with survival skills. Assigned a harsh mentor, Nathan faced frustration and mistreatment but showed persistence. After standing up to bullies, he earned some respect, and his mentor began to soften, though Nathan still felt like an outsider, unsure if he would ever belong, Nathan never thought what his life will be like in the next 10 years. "A mate will love you and only you. No other can compare to you and he or she will treasure you above all and everything in the world," mommy says to me as she kissed my forehead. I sighed dreamily. I can't wait till I find my mate. He'll be perfect and handsome and funny and smart and brave and beautiful and he'll love me... only ever me... and... and... Present This hurts so much. Seeing and hearing and knowing my mate, the one who's supposed to love me above all, me, only me is in love with somebody else. I'd hate him if I could. I'd reject him if I could... I wish I could. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Important My books are written explicitly for a MATURE AUDIENCE 18 YEARS AND OLDER.
