"Love is wonderful, love is magical, and love is beautiful, but sometimes even the strongest of love can't conquer all." Parker has never wanted anything as desperately as he wanted Emily. He wants to marry her, to have children with her, and to grow old with her simply because he loves her that much, but sometimes, just wanting something will never be enough. Parker will never be able to be with Emily because in a matter of just a few months, he is going to die and there is nothing he can do about it. Suddenly Parker can see his perfect life fall apart, no longer is he going to be the honor student, the school's star quarterback, and Emily's boyfriend, he's going to be the kid that's dying. Parker feels so helpless in his own life but if he's going to die then all he wants before he goes is to make sure that Emily will be happy. So when Emily meets Jeremy, the new boy in town, who seems to be able to make her happier that even Parker can, what will he do? Will he fight for Emily or will her let Emily fall in love with another man?

This book revolves around two poles apart individuals who met in school only to turn into arch-nemesis. But when love started budding it brought spring into their hearts. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. A scandal broke loose in the city and Felicity left for reasons unknown without informing Spencer. His world flipped upside down in a span of a few hours. Years later, fate brought them together again. Spencer hated her with all his might but Felicity's love was still there, cocooned in the precincts of her heart. But she is afraid to get near Spencer because her days are numbered. Or so she has been told. Would they be able to sort out their differences and leave the past in the past, where it belongs? Or would Spencer's blind hatred and Felicity's deadly disease engulf everything into another ball of fire?
