Luke had the mental age of about eight, though on the rare occasion he was compatible as the mental age of a eighteen year old. He only had one real friend -- his best friend since age three.

Michael was a nice guy who connected easily with Luke even though it meant he often spent his days watching disney movies and coloring outside the lines. He still loved Luke with his whole heart and made sure the guy was content with everything because he hated seeing people sad -- and maybe that's why he never looked in the mirror.

They simply had a connection nobody could seem to grasp, it was like soulmates that would never be together officially -- they acted like a couple most times, but that's because Luke didn't understand what he was doing and Michael was simply trying to make his Luke happy, but in the end could he really make him happy?
