Brianna Shield is eighteen years old and lives in Wicklow County, Ireland, along with her loving adopted parents and her step-brother, Ethan. Brianna was found as an infant under very mysterious circumstances. She has one blue eye, one brown eye and striking markings on her wrists. She begins having unusual episodes, with her thoughts being projected to other people.
Brianna receives a collection of fantasy novels, one of which resonates remarkably with her own circumstances. ‘The Morrigan Book’ was published many years prior to her birth; however, its conclusion vividly describes the circumstances surrounding her discovery as an infant, as well as her unique physical attributes, her markings and her name.
Brianna, Ethan and her good friend, Charlotte, investigate the writings, as a series of events fuel their interest. Intriguing characters and objects guide them on an inevitable path of discovery. They are transported to the mythical land of Oran-Roy, as described in ‘The Morrigan Book’.
Brianna comes face to face with her biological family and becomes embroiled in the political machinations of the mythical realm, with far reaching implications. Her latent abilities begin to flourish under the pressures of dire necessity.
Brianna encounters, love, loss, loyalty, betrayal, power, weakness and adventure in Oran-Roy, as she struggles with her own identity, culminating in her final inner battle – do I stay, or, do I go?

I looked at him in shock, "How do you know that?"
"I know a lot of things about you, Ms. Prior, even things you don't know yourself." Excuse me? "From what you can do," he paused giving me a look before directing his gaze back at the field. "To your eye color. Your parents have blue ones, so I don't see how that works." What?
He continued without question, "You are still a mystery to us, as you have never showed any signs of power before, so it's sort of confusing." He paused for a few seconds them said, "You're different; you have an ability. You're a Supernatural."
"Ok, I really need to go so..."
I began walking back, but he stuck out his arm to block me. And that's when it happened.
Flames rose on his arms, lighting them on fire. I backed up, feeling the heat radiate off his arms. I was in utter shock, yet he looked relaxed, amused even.
"What the hell are you?" I jumped back, and the fire went out, a smirk rising on his face.
"I'm just like you."
