Layla Darkwood is a Wastonian, a group of people living in a small, forest village. She is also part of the Dawning Foxes: a secret group unknown to most of the world that uses Magic to capture ancient monsters. Layla's parents had been captured by the group working against them, the Blazing Skulls. When Layla noticed odd occurrences in her village, she fakes her death and leaves to try and put a stop to it and end the Blazing Skulls forever.
