The story focuses on a girl named, Serenity. Her mother is in a hopeless condition as her father is an aggressive drunk.
This story is mainly about finding hope, changing your fate and learning to let go.

When she tells Asher how she feels about the engagement they call it all off. Serenity spends the next few years of her life trying to figure out true happiness without someone to hold her hand.
