Red is a mustang who makes his life on the Great Plains of America in the early 1800s. His life wasn't easy in it's beginning, and it wasn't about to get easier.

Follow Red on his path, starting from his pleasant days as an ornery little colt; and hear the tale of his remarkable life.

Inspired by "Smoky the Cow Horse", by Will James.

WARNING:

THIS SHORT STORY IS INTENTIONALLY MADE TO BE ILLITERATE. IT IS A CHALLENGE FOR ME AS A GRAMMAR-NAZI. I HAVE ENJOYED MAKING THIS STORY SOUND THIS WAY REGARDLESS.

It is also written as a tribute to my Jack. So this story is for me.

Finding Hope {Editing} di ShelbyGodfrey
18 parti Completa
Rose had everything a girl could wish for, she had a loving mom, and best friends who were always by her side and one thing she loved the most is horses. But it all came crashing down when her mom got in a car accident on her way to see her ride. *1 month later* She moves in with her dad who she hasn't seen in 10 years since he left when she was 7 years old and she's hated him ever since. When she gets there she wants nothing to do with him. Still hurting from her mom's accident and thinking it was her fault her mom ended up dying and now to go on top of that she has to live with the dad that abandoned her all those years ago. She also lost interest in riding horses, too until she meets the three most snobby, rich kids named Madison, Bonnie, and Lucy, who think they are better than everyone when it comes to riding horses, but Rose sure doesn't think she is. Rose thinks she can beat them, so Rose challenges her and tells her that she can beat her, so they make a deal, but the one think Rose didn't think of was that she stopped ridding because of her mom's accident and that means she has to get back on a horse. At first she doesn't think she can until a beautiful grayish white mustang comes to her dad's farm, who Rose names later as Stardust. Rose finally realizes that she can do this alone, she's going to need help from her father to help her get back on and also have help from the new cute boy, Austin who's helping for his community service. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race. This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not. I hope you try to read it and see that it's really good, and touching sorta. So just try to love it.*

Have you ever experienced the wind flapping through your mane and forelock as you gallop through vast plains and over rocky slopes? Have you ever known what freedom feels like, knowing that it isn't free? Of course you haven't. You aren't a horse-shifter like me. Well that so called freedom can be taken away any second of any day. In the blink of an eye, and you probably won't even know it. But I do. It happened to me. Like yesterday, when I was caught by the people that run the Wild Mustang Round Up. It isn't a beautiful sight. But I am. My coat, black as night, red as fire in sunlight. My mane, dark as coal, wild as the wind. My tail, as dark as ebony, that can't be tamed. My spirit? Ha, it is as wild as wild can be. I. Can. Not. Be. Tamed.
