It truly is amazing how quickly your life can get flipped upside down. Actually, I take that back. In my case, it was more like my life was flipped upside down, turned inside out, spun around in circles, and blown up. I wish I was kidding. One minute I was an ambitious fifteen-year-old, working part time at the Marine Research Institute, and the next, BAM! I was preparing to risk everything to help a specimen I caught in the first place escape from the facility. And it wasn't any ordinary specimen like plankton or bioluminescent fish, either. A swim gone wrong causes my twin sister to begin to fear the water. She barely even touches it. I went missing when it happened, everyone thinks I drowned, and died. I did drown, or rather I started to, but then a bright light shown down on me during a full moon and turned me into a mermaid, one drop and 10 secs later a tail. I love it! I've always wanted to be a mermaid, our little sister was barely just born, I didn't know how to face my family, so I guess I just have lived in the ocean.
