I furled my fingers into a tight fist by my side, disgusted by the fact that I was once affiliated with such an imbecile.
I jut my finger out at him menacingly with a stiff posture, clenching my jaw. "Listen here Fred. I don't want to be involved with any one of your damn deals so go to hell with them. There's no way--"
"Oh but there is James," A cynical smile stretched across his face. He deliberately leaned back in his chair. "You see James, it's simple. Meet the girl, befriend her, marry her, then throw a divorce at her two days after."
"What makes you so sure I'd do such a thing?"
"Well, my friend, I know that you'd do anything in your power to save your business," He smirked.
"You can't say anything," I threatened lowly.
He chuckled darkly. "Oh don't worry. I won't," he rose from his chair, adjusting his tie as he strolled up to me. He lent out his hand. "Do we have a deal?"
I pondered over it, glowering at him straight in the eye. I grabbed the hand, shaking it firmly.
