Siggy is the daughter of Björn Ironside (the son of King Ragnar Lothbrok and the shield maiden Lagertha) and Porunn, a former slave. She was named after Earl Haraldson's wife (also Rollo's lover), who gave her life to save Ragnar's sons.

Siggy is tenacious and daring. She has always had a strong bond with her father, since she never knew her mother and grew up learning how to fight from Björn and her grandmother, Lagertha. Her dream is to become a shieldmaiden and raid with her family. However, Siggy must face the obstacles of love and her heart breaking past to settle some family complications in order to make her dream a reality.
