"What is it you see? What do the gods have planned for me?"
"First what in particular do you want to know?" I straightened my back and cleared my throat.
"I, along with many other women, have always wanted to be a shieldmaiden like Lagertha. However, I realize I don't want to be my grandmother. I want to be a famous warrior like her. But I want to know if my name will be remembered?" The Seer was silent as he nodded his head.
"You have honored your people with your success in Wessex. The gods smile upon you. However, you will come face to face with a missing part of your past. Your soul will face anger but also acceptance." There was a moment of silence between us.

Siggy is the daughter of Björn Ironside (the son of King Ragnar Lothbrok and the shield maiden Lagertha) and Porunn, a former slave. She was named after Earl Haraldson's wife (also Rollo's lover), who gave her life to save Ragnar's sons.
Siggy is tenacious and daring. She has always had a strong bond with her father, since she never knew her mother and grew up learning how to fight from Björn and her grandmother, Lagertha. Her dream is to become a shieldmaiden and raid with her family. However, Siggy must face the obstacles of love and her heart breaking past to settle some family complications in order to make her dream a reality.
