WARNING: Mature content +18. Do not read if you're uncomfortable about the topics of blood, gore, sex, rape, child grooming, abuse, suicide, swearing, self harm, alcohol, drugs, smoking, stalking, death, etc. *While I am not your mother and cannot prevent you from doing so, it is not recommended that minors read this story. But if you don't care and are really into this shit then whatever. **I will not be held responsible if you get in trouble in anyway. You've been warned. If you thought everything was fine and dandy after The Devil was defeated, you were dead wrong! Peace never lasts forever. Tails and the other Freedom Fighters seem to forget that way too often. It's been about one year since Sonic killed The Devil to end its genocidal rampage. Everyone began living their own respective lives, but it was not so respectful. Despite no longer afraid to be themselves it does not change how the world truly feels about them. The Freedom Fighters are nothing but hideous freaks. They know this. They are still held back by their past traumas that keep them from being able to move on and become better. Not only that, new threats and dramas keep popping out of nowhere and just make life even harder. Sure, there are no demons in the story this time, but everyone still has their inner demons. No one is free from despair. Try as they might to change things, it will prove overbearingly difficult and could tear them a part for good.

Her father left. The perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. Claire needed her father. Her mother works hard, but hard to keep the neighbors impressed. Then, her dad runs away to be a rock band roadie. Her 4.5 AP Nerdfest brother is accused of raping and murdering a girl with Special Needs. And when she and her best friend go on a runaway road trip--they end up in a truck with sex traders. Claire's world spins out of control--until it doesn't. It is 2008 and In 2008 the whole world changed. And not just because the iphone came out in 2007. It wasn't just the families of the OC Housewives that were living a reality show; so many families seemed to be all about "the house" and not "the home." Sunglasses cost hundreds of dollars and "bags" were thousands. Everything had a label that said you spent a lot of money. People went crazy buying another house, a boat, a Hummer (at 10 miles to the gallon). I distinctly remember two couples, in their late 30s, who were shopping together in Toys R Us. They had a video camera and were discussing the "rules" to this shopping trip. The rules were they had to look into the camera and say what they were buying, for who and why. And the carts had to be overflowing with toys. It was as if they had dreamed their entire lives of doing a "who cares how much it costs" shopping spree at Toys R Us for their children. Just recklessly spending on a bunch of STUFF. That was 2007. And then came 2008. But, more disturbing to me, was the impact it had on families. I think moms and dads lost themselves in providing stuff for their kids and not giving their kids time. And I saw the kids suffer because of it. So, I did a little research and a lot of observing and I wrote a mostly fictional story about an upper-middle class family in the OC. It explores (it simple terms) what was going on in the economy and what teenagers really want from their parents...

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

C H A N C E: do (something) despite its being dangerous or of uncertain outcome "You walked out on me! No text, call, or letter! Nothing! I just woke up one day and you were gone!" Rooster yelled at her. She stood there in pain from just seeing him, Rosemary couldn't look at him without seeing her mistakes. "I didn't mean to hurt you... I-I just couldn't say goodbye because if I did I never would have left. I have 3 children now because of my sister's death. I wasn't going to drag you along with that. You were already set back so much from Maverick and the hatred you had towards him, was something I didn't want. If I held you back then you would have hated me too," a few tears rolled down her face as she looked at his shoes. She couldn't bare to look up at him. He shook his head as he exhaled out trying to calm down. "But I would have never hated you. I can't hate you. It bothers me that I haven't been able to hate you for walking out on me... and then you have to hide with all the pain... I just wished you told me," he told her and took a step closer. She had looked up at him and her heart shattered even more. The whole group was there watching there fight but didn't even have words for any of it. Phoenix was the only one who knew about everything. The kids, her sister, her parents, all of it. Pheonix had watched her break down over and over and over, but she didn't realize how much it might have hurt her to see the one person she had loved her whole life. "I'm sorry, Bradley but I have to go," she turned around and passed the whole group. She didn't bare to change in the lockers but headed straight to her car.
