Unlike most teenage girls, Annie Weston has a more important things to worry about than getting her very own happy ending. Her mother just committed suicide, and Annie believes that something she did might have led to her mother's demise. Her twenty-one year old brother is slipping back into his original alcoholic ways. The school's biggest bitch wants her head on a platter because she heard rumors that Annie was screwing with her boyfriend. And said boyfriend of the bitch is acting more than a little friendly.

Add in the fact that she still has her Rhode Island School of Design application to fill out. But some unknown force is stopping her from putting pen to paper.

Annie's world feels like it's crumbling down, piece by tiny piece. Annie will disappear into nothingness someday too, and there's really nothing she feels she can do to stop it. But maybe she can stop it just by gripping to the handlebars of life and refusing to slip away.

Life's a roller coaster. Sometimes you've just got to hang on.
