Aurum and Argentum are the twin heirs to the throne of Aquilon, set to rule on the summer solstice when the brother and sister turn eighteen. For aeons, dark forces have plotted to thwart their rule and overthrow the King and Queen; when their kingdom is lost to darkness in a coupe, the twins-the last hope for their people-are entrusted with an ancient relic and dispatched to a distant planet.
