The two groups have a lot in common but they never even talk. Luke Hemmings is in the popular group at school and always has girls throwing themselves at him. But when he sees the new girl he instantly feels drawn to her. The only problem is that she's now a popular. Kirsty Waters is a new student at Thornhill High School. The popular girls befriend her so that now makes her a popular. Guys have now started throwing themselves at her but she immediately feels drawn to a certain popular. Luke never really liked the fact that his best friend Calum spent most of his time following another guy around, especially somebody who was so popular and maybe even a little bit famous. Ashton was a model and was constantly on the move, needing to be in perfect condition at all times. That's what Calum was there for. He was Ashton's personal assistant and he does everything that is asked of him. The boys are aware that the other exists but Ashton is determined to keep it professional whereas Luke is determined to make sure Ashton knows just how much he loathes him.
