Some people say that you change your poetry, but I think that poetry changes you. Poetry is an outlet for feelings that other night not understand, or that some will. My grade eight teacher often says "life is like an orange", and I never really understood that, but then I realize this: the outside of an orange is slightly hard, like us sealing in our emotions, and on the inside, we are soft. Or not, maybe he's just crazy.

Poems for the broken
I started writing poems because I had to get my emotions out in some other way and poems helped because I got a deeper meaning from them and had to put lessons I learned the hard way in my writings. I feel as if these were meant for those who could under stand my pain and anger at those who did me wrong. These poems are just some of the little pieces that make up my life. Whenever I get inspired by someone or something, I write a little story about it in the form of a poem.
