Set in the 1950s in Memphis, "The Value of Friendship" is a coming-of-age story that will touch your heart. When nine-year-old Autumn Grace Moran meets colored girl Gwendolyn ("Wendy") Summer, they form a bond so beautiful and powerful that it cannot be broken. In a time of prejudice, discrimination, terrorism, and the demand for equal rights, these two young girls will try to prove the power of true friendship, despite their different backgrounds.
