A Vicious Pack Cursed by witches centuries ago due to the Alpha's betrayal towards the witches. He broke the one rule of their alliance which was not to hunt or kill witches. The Alpha
Killed a new born baby witch because he had heard a legend that stated a new born baby witch with blue eyes and hair as dark as night will be his undoing. The legend told to him was false given by a not so trustworthy Beta who wanted an uproaring between the witches and the Alpha. So if the Alpha was to die the Beta could take the postition as Alpha.
The witches had the Pack Cursed, the curse was that every baby born on the full moon will be taken away. In the next 5 centuries a baby girl would be born to the Alpha and Luna she will be the one that will bare the mark. She would be the one that carry's the mark of the Crimson curse.
