When Layla Thompson receives a gift from her long lost father on her 16th birthday she knew something was wrong. The ankh she receives from her father is believed to have magical powers, thankfully no one believed in it until now. 2 years later Layla stumbles upon the ankh with her 17 year old brother Travis in the basement one day. What she didn’t count on was finding herself with her younger brother in Egyptian times. With facing new challenges, making new friends and finding love their lives will never be the same again. But deep in the darkness of that world lays the greatest challenge of all, getting out. Getting in was the easy part, but getting out was the hardest.
