It's 2030. A zombie outbreak has taken over the world for 5 years.
Kayla Lewis and her big brother Chris fight for a living everyday. They don't trust anybody, they never stay at one place to long, they protect each other. But then they meet a group of other survivors. This time a group of people who don't try to rape and loot others. This story is about siblings, family, friendship and love. It is about brother and sister who protect each other at all costs. It's about a sixteen year old girl falling in love for the first time. It's about trust, hate and loss.

The idea of this story has hit me square to the face when I watched one of my favorite novellas on television. Leslie Garcia has been a sweet little 9 year old girl and then her world is crushed when she finds out she suddenly has cancer.
