Ending
A town with no history. A girl with no name. An end with no beginning. My oldest memory of this place was blurry. It faded in and out of my dreams and subconscious. The details edges had been rubbed smooth long ago, but the feeling of complete and absolute terror had remained as distinguishable as the day it happened. fifteen or so years back... That fear has always kept me grounded to the forest that isolated me from the rest of the world. It kept me safe from whatever I had to run away from. Tricking me into thinking what was best for my survival, was to stay hidden. But when dangers from the outside seep into the safe haven I had created, all sense of security shatters. Suddenly the safety net is gone, and other people exist again... Some that had definitely thought I was dead. (as of 2/25) Hello! I have been writing this book for like 6 years and some parts may be iffy. I still have to finish and revise the final draft, but it is very close to being done. But with several relationships from home begging Zooey for closure from her first disappearing act, it may not be so easy for her to go quietly like she had planned. Lila seems to have made peace with Zooey now knowing about her romantic relationship she has with Hunter, but with Zooey no longer in town, Lila faces the choice of what to do about her mother's offer to move to New York. For the first time, Lila is overwhelmed with possibilities and chances for a better life for her and Dylan, but the fear of losing Hunter in the process looms over her head. And as the rumor mill in town grows stronger, Lila is reminded that there are relationships in Borne that are owed some truth and closure five years overdo. If she's ever going to truly move forward, she, too, must let go of Michael and the trauma of the past.
